Aquatica, where chill meets thrill!

Check out these pro-tips for the most relaxing or exciting day at SeaWorld’s Waterpark

It’s National Beach Day: a time to celebrate the sandy shores we Floridians are so lucky to have all around us. However, if you live in Central Florida, a trip to the Atlantic Ocean or Gulf Coast might be difficult to fit into your schedule. Luckily, Orlando is home to a few beaches of its own! My personal favorite “Orlando beach” is Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark. With sparkling white, sandy beaches and over 42 slides this park offers endless opportunities to relax and “chill” or add some “thrill” to your day.

As a self-proclaimed waterpark enthusiast, here is how I like to balance my chill time and thrill time at Aquatica!

Two massive wave pools make double the fun at Aquatica

Chill – Grab your chair on our 84,000 sq. ft. sandy beaches right on the shores of Cutback Cove and Big Surf Shores, our side-by-side wave pools. This is the perfect spot to get your tan on later in the day!

Thrill – Zipping through the fast moving water of Roa’s Rapids. Insider Tip: Grab a life vest and navigate the rapids while floating for some additional speed.

Chill – Taking it slow floating down Loggerhead Lane. But don’t get too comfortable, you will need to decide if you want to float past the fish grotto or Commerson’s dolphin habitat at the fork in the river.

Thrill – Plunging down Tassie’s Twisters after a few laps around the river. After dropping down an enclosed tube to pick up some speed, this slide drops you into a giant bowl where you spin around and around before returning you back to Loggerhead Lane.

There’s room to roam for even the smallest explorers at Aquatica

Chill – Taking your young (or young at heart) Aquaticans through Walkabout Waters, a 60-foot-tall interactive play structure with blasters and plenty of slides for the entire family. For the younger explorers, Kata’s Kookabura Cove offers pint sized thrills with beginner body slides and plenty of ways to splash.

Thrill – Racing your friends on Taumata Racer, an eight lane mat racing slide that is sure to spark some competition amongst your group.

Chill – Stopping by Mango Market to pick-up a nice cold craft beer to drink on the beach and build up some courage for Aquatica’s ultimate thrill…

Only the daring will take on the drop at Ihu’s Breakaway Falls

Thrill – Daring the drop on Ihu’s Breakaway Falls, the steepest slide of its kind in Orlando. If you have two friends with you, bring them along so you can see their face when they drop, unless you breakaway first.

Enjoy a beach day every day with an Aquatica Fun Card. For the price of one day, you can enjoy unlimited admission to Aquatica with no blockout dates.
