10 Tips & Tricks to Get the Most of out of Your Trip to Aquatica San Diego

Planning your next visit to Aquatica San Diego? Follow these tricks on what to bring and how to prepare.

  1. Suit up!
Make sure you pick the right swimwear for your visit. Keep in mind that Aquatica San Diego is a family venue (so when in doubt, keep it classy). Also, bear in mind athletic shorts and loose articles of clothing aren’t allowed on the rides. For more info on swimwear restrictions, check our FAQs here.

  2. Towel Off
We recommend bringing your own towel, as they’ll be easier to keep track of. But if you forget, towels are available for rental or purchase at the park.

  4. Lock It, Don’t Leave It
Keep all your valuables safe while you’re off riding the slides. We have all-day locker rentals available at the park entrance for a small fee.

  5. Go Cashless
We recommend stashing your wallet in a locker and taking advantage of our waterproof Cashless Wristbands for your purchases at the park. It’s free, convenient, and you won’t have to worry about losing your cash or cards. Check our FAQs here for more info.

  7. Snack Smart
Aquatica San Diego offers plenty of dining options, but if you’d rather bring your own meals, you can use the picnic area in the main parking lot. Save money and the environment by bringing a reusable water bottle to fill up in the park. Small soft coolers are permitted too. Check our FAQs here to see more info on what snacks you can bring inside. Dietary restrictions? Check with an Ambassador at the Bag Check area for help.

  8. Plan Ahead
There’s so much to see and do while you’re at the park, it can get overwhelming. Check out the Aquatica San Diego map before your visit to figure out your day. It’s also a good idea to set up a meeting spot if your group gets separated.

  9. Book Beforehand
You can also save time on the day of your visit by booking your admissions tickets and parking beforehand. Interested in relaxing in our loungers or private cabanas? Don’t risk them selling out -- reserve yours ahead of time here.

  10. Mix It Up
