KareKare Curl Construction BeginsJanuary 25, 2019
Just this past fall, we announced that Aquatica Orlando will be getting a brand-new thrilling attraction for 2019. KareKare Curl was designed to bring Aquatica's thrill slide collection to the next level, making us Orlando's leader in waterpark thrills.
"KareKare" means "waves," here at Aquatica and when combined with "curl" meaning in a curved shape — this new slide could be described as a "curved shaped wave" which is what riders will experience when they climb the vertical wave wall. True to its name and holding two passengers, this new slide will deliver a high-adrenaline, weightless adventure, to all of our guests.
Construction is in full swing and many of the fiberglass slide sections (over 100 total) have started to arrive on property.
Over the next several weeks, teams will be hard at work pre-assembling sections of the new attraction before moving them over to the job site to be hoisted into place.
Inside the park, another team is hard at work prepping the land where KareKare Curl will sit, right between Omaka Rocka and our side-by-side wave pools, Big Surf Shores and Cutback Cove. In no time at all the new attraction will be towering 5-stories above our beautiful white sandy beaches, ready for you!
